Virage Health Partners was founded by Asad Tufail, who arrived in the US from London 15 years ago and was struck by one thing above all else: how hard Americans work just to access basic healthcare. After a decade building health technology from the inside, he founded Virage Health with a deep belief that primary care should be simple, personal, and accessible.
Where it started

I moved to the United States from the UK 15 years ago. What struck me immediately wasn’t the quality of American medicine, it was how hard people worked just to access it. High deductibles. Three-week waits. A different provider every visit who had never seen you before, and had five minutes to figure out who you were.
After 15 years here, that frustration never went away, it just became more familiar. I went to work in health technology thinking I could help fix it from the inside. For ten years I helped healthcare companies scale their operations, grow their revenue, and reach more patients. And the whole time, I watched the same gap widen, between what employers were spending and what their employees were actually experiencing.

Virage is built around board-certified nurse practitioners with deep roots in the Phoenix community. NPs are ideally suited for direct primary care, and are trained to manage the full spectrum of primary care needs, with a practice philosophy centered on time, relationships, and prevention.
Each NP maintains a deliberately small patient panel – far smaller than a traditional primary care practice – so that every employee gets the attention and continuity they deserve. No rushed visits. No revolving door.
